Car Heater
Product Introduction
The car heating system, also known as the heater core, works by utilizing the engine coolant to warm the passenger compartment of the vehicle. As the engine coolant circulates through the cooling system to absorb heat from the engine and prevent overheating, a portion of this hot coolant is diverted through the heater core before it reaches the radiator.
The heater core is a small radiator-like component located within the vehicle’s dashboard. It consists of a network of tubes and fins, similar to the radiator, but designed specifically for heat transfer to the cabin air. As the hot coolant flows through the tubes of the heater core, its heat is transferred to the surrounding fins.
A blower fan, integrated into the vehicle’s HVAC system, draws air through the heater core. This air absorbs the heat from the fins, effectively becoming warm air. The heated air is then directed through the ventilation ducts and into the passenger compartment, providing warmth and comfort during cold weather.
